Social Media Edge was founded by Ken Cook in the late Summer of 2008. Ken hosted the podcast alone … sometimes utterly so … and invited on guests who were the “who’s who” at the time in the local and national online branding and public relations fields. After hosting several shows alone Ken invited Jason Crouch on as a guest and later invited Jason to co-host the show which began in December 2008.

Shortly after Jason joined the show Ken invited Mike Mueller to come on as a guest and, again, Mike was invited to contribute a regular segment to the show which at first was called “Mike’s Minutes” and later turned into some kind of hockey-thon of techno-babble.

In early mid-2009 Ken invited T.S. Elliott on as a guest and she was so much fun she soon found herself on the other end of the wire avery other week or so. T.S. was active with the show until late 2010 and is still a good friend of the show.

Finally the community builder Jeremy Blanton, who was at the time a representative of Active Rain, joined the show to add bits and bites about staying connected. Jeremy remains a regular contributor to the show as does Mike Mueller.

Social Media Edge is a weekly Blog Talk Radio show that addresses using the Social Media tools, part of New Media, mainly for business purposes. Our hosts and guests are all well experienced users and developers who use and create many of the most popular social media tools you may be familiar with today.

We air live every Tuesday at Noon eastern (GMT -5) for one hour.
